Admin/registration — Helping with administration before and/or during Lighthouse week.
Car Parking — Directing traffic during drop off and collection times
Craft — Help the children with cutting, sticking and other creative activity. No artistic skills required, everything is prepared in advance.
Little Lighthouse (Crèche for Helper's Children) — Looking after the Helpers children, who are too young to come on their own (under 4’s).
Drama / Creative— Come and help with fun sessions combining Drama and Art.
First Aid — Man the First Aid tent and deal with any accidents. Must be a qualified First Aider.
Halo:gen — Help run the evening activities for teenagers. Minimum age 18.
Helpers Refreshment Tent — Time out for helpers. Serve drinks & some homemade cake to refresh helpers ready for the next session.
Parent's Cafe — Parents come here for a moment of peace and some home made cake. There will also be Lighthouse merchandise on sale.
Quiet Tent — Supervise those children who are unable to take part in a session. Minimum age 16.
Lighthouse Keeper — Looking after a small group of children called a “Lighthouse” with the help of teenage helpers. Befriend and care for your group, guiding them through their scheduled activities. NO teaching involved
Lamplighter — Help the Lighthouse Keepers to look after a group. Come and support and enjoy the fun. Minimum age 13 or Year 8 at school.
Music — Singers and instrumentalists to play in the Big Top or the Mini Top.
Parents and Toddlers - under 4 — Help with various activities for the youngest at Lighthouse
Site Security — Setting up and dismantling before & after Lighthouse or maintaining the site during the week. Various shifts available.
Security — Day, evening and night shifts throughout Lighthouse week, working in pairs.
Sport — Help the organisers run various activities such as football, rounders, and many other games. Minimum age 16.
Tent Decorating— To design/paint/sew banners for the tents.— We are looking for people to help before Lighthouse week.
Please note: All young people under the age of 18 will work with adult supervision and in roles appropriate to their age.
